I create my objects as real-world emanations of subconscious: balancing between existent and non-existent, living and dying, man-made and natural.
Masha Karda is a Tel-Aviv based textile and mixed media artist and jewellery designer. She's an active member of the UK based PRISM textile art group. Her artworks are regularly shown in London exhibitions and her textile art jewellery is featured top Israeli concept stores.
In 2020 Masha has been selected to present her artwork at the 2nd International Triennial of mini-textiles in St.Petersburg, Russia.
After completion of her costume designer education in Milan, Italy, Masha has studied under various artists, learning techniques as different as art blacksmithing, academic painting, Japanese calligraphy and more.
Over the years she has developed her own style and technique allowing her to create nature-mimicking objects with a tiniest crocheting hook.
As an artist Masha explores the beauty of the imperfect, of decay and of the new life reborn. Her art is indisputably feminine and aims to talk to the subconscious of the observer, evoking powerful jungian archetypes.
